My next book is out now! The Messenger is a supernatural thriller.
I am working on a new Irene Kelly book. I'll post more about that here when more details are available.
You can also learn when new books or stories are going to be published by checking my Web site or by signing up for my mailing list.
Here are some stores where I've already signed books, and while supplies last, these stores will happily ship autographed books purchased by calling the store or visiting their Websites.
Or send a blank e-mail message to isthisthingon-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Subscribing to this group will allow you to receive most posts to this blog by email. (Some that have photos aren't sent, to prevent taking up your whole mailbox, but I try to send a note to let you know they're posted.) You will still have to check this site to make or read comments on the posts.
Welcome

How many times have you heard a speaker do that to a microphone, not quite believing his or her voice was being heard by the audience? You find me in a similar position, and apologizing in advance if I'm as clumsy as that speaker.
This is a place where readers can ask questions and get information about my books and stories, and where I'll be talking about subjects both related and unrelated to my writing. I'm hoping it will not only replace the message boards on my my Web site (alas, spamming posters forced my Webmaster Maderia James and me to abandon the message boards), but will also allow us to have some fun together discussing a wide range of topics. I hope to introduce you to some guest bloggers as well.
If you haven't visited the Crime Lab Project Web site yet, please take a look.

Nice look. Love the pics.
Very nice Jan! Love the top banner pics!
Thanks, Missy and Tami. Soon you'll be able to see the whole effect, which isn't quite complete here with what's mixed in from Blogger.com.
Appreciate the feedback. And Tami -- I love Gromit!! But then, who doesn't? I have a dog that uses his eyebrows just as effectively as Gromit does.

The new look is great!
By the way, I'm compiling some crime lab information for you.
I've visited a few labs lately and the conditions are not very exciting. As one tough old cop said to me last week, "CSI we ain't."
Thanks, Lee! I look forward to our Bouchercon panel!
I'm excited about our panel, too.
You're new website is great. In fact, it looks too nice. Makes me want to change mine now.
